Here is a nicely signed photo of Richie Ashburn of the Philadelphia Phillies. Don Richard Ashburn (March
19, 1927 – September 9, 1997), also known by the nicknames "Putt-Putt",
"The Tilden Flash", and "Whitey" (due to his light-blond hair), was an
American center fielder in Major League Baseball with the Philadelphia
Phillies from 1948 to 1959, the Chicago Cubs from 1960 to 1961, and the
New York Mets in 1962. Ashburn was inducted into the Major League
Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1995. Ashburn was also a 6 time
All-Star (1948, 1951, 1953, 1958, 1962, 1962) and a 2 time NL batting
champion (1955, 1958) as well as the NL stolen base leader (1948). The
Philadelphia Phillies retired his No. 1 and placed him on the
Philadelphia Phillies Wall of Fame. The 8 by 10 inch color photo is signed in clear blue ink. The signature has been authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services. It has their authentication seal in the lower corner of the back with the identification number of #BM03173. This is a great signature on a classic photo.
