Here is a wonderful 1980's Reggie Jackson Game Worn California Angels cleats from The Tom Morgan Collection. Reginald Martinez Jackson (born May 18, 1946) was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1993. Jackson was a 14 time All-Star (1969, 1971–1975, 1977–1984) and a 5× World Series champion (1972–1974, 1977, 1978). He won the AL MVP (1973) as well as a 2 time World Series MVP (1973, 1977) and 2 Silver Slugger Awards (1980, 1982). Jackson was a 4 time AL home run leader (1973, 1975, 1980, 1982) and the AL RBI leader (1973). The Oakland Athletics retired his No. 9 jersey number and the New York Yankees retired his No. 44. He is a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame and is a New York Yankees Monument Park honoree. This piece came from the personal collection of Tom Morgan. Tom Stephen Morgan (May 20, 1930 – January 13, 1987) was a Major League Baseball pitcher. A native of El Monte, California, the 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m), 195 lb (88 kg) right-hander was signed by the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent before the 1949 season. He played for the Yankees (1951–52; 1954–56), Kansas City Athletics (1957), Detroit Tigers (1958–60), Washington Senators (1960) and Los Angeles Angels (1961–63). As for the cleats, they are the classic 1980's size eleven Pony brand cleats that were worn by Mr. October during his tenure in Anaheim where he was a three-time American League All-Star and home run champion. The shoes are red and white colorway display Pony branding on the tongues, sides and heels. They each have the "44" and "Jax" appear on each shoe in vintage black marker. They exhibit evidence of game wear, including dirt remnants. You can see a clear style match, when you look at the Getty Images 1402062, 52446677 and 1179060076. The hat is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Tom Morgan's daughter. A great pair of cleats from a legendary player!
