Here is an original card from the 1941 Play Ball set of Baseball Cards. This is #20 which is of Red Ruffing of the New York Yankees. Charles Herbert "Red" Ruffing (May 3, 1905 – February 17, 1986) was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1967. Ruffing played for the Boston Red Sox (1924–1930), the New York Yankees (1930–1942, 1945–1946) and the Chicago White Sox (1947). During his career, Ruffing was a 6 time All-Star (1934, 1938–1942), 6 time World Series champion (1932, 1936–1939, 1941), the AL wins leader (1938)as well as the AL strikeout leader (1932). He is a member of the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame and is a Monument Park honoree. What makes this card special is that it is signed in in by the Hall of Famer, Red Ruffing. This card was authenticated by the Beckett, BVG Company, and it is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
