Here is an original 1997 Andruw Jones Game Worn & Signed Atlanta Braves Jersey. At the tender age of 19, Andruw Jones found himself in the Braves lineup for the World Series. Called up in August of 1996, Jones became the youngest man to hit a home run in World Series when he went deep in his first plate appearance in New York. Jones followed that up in with a strong year in 1997 finishing fifth in the Rookie of the Year voting. Andruw Rudolf Jones (Papiamento pronunciation: [ˈandruw ˈdʒonz]; born April 23, 1977) played for the Atlanta Braves (1996–2007), Los Angeles Dodgers (2008), Texas Rangers (2009), Chicago White Sox (2010), New York Yankees (2011–2012) and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles (2013–2014). During that time, he was a 5 time All-Star (2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006), a 10 time Gold Glove Award (1998–2007), a Silver Slugger Award (2005) and won the NL Hank Aaron Award (2005) and was the NL home run leader (2005), and the NL RBI leader (2005). The Atlanta Braves retired his No. 25 jersey number and he is a member of the Braves Hall of Fame. The game worn jersey was used in 1997 and shows light overall use. "A. Jones" is on a nameplate because the team also had Chipper Jones on the roster. Jones signed the reverse "5" in black felt tip. Four tags are in the tail: "Wilson," "97," "size 44" and "Taper." The right sleeve is highlighted with a Jackie Robinson patch. It is accompanied by a Beckett letter of authenticity as well as one from Heritage Auctions. It is a great looking uniform from an impressive Brave!
