Here is an original 1951 Bowman set of baseball card #3. This is the card of Robin Roberts of the Philadelphia Phillies. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1976. Robin Evan Roberts (September 30, 1926 – May 6, 2010) was an American Major League Baseball starting pitcher who pitched primarily for the Philadelphia Phillies (1948–1961). He spent the latter part of his career with the Baltimore Orioles (1962–1965), Houston Astros (1965–66), and Chicago Cubs (1966). During his career, Roberts was a 7 time All Star (1950–1956), 4 time MLB wins leader (1952–1955), a 2 time MLB strikeout leader (1953, 1954). The Philadelphia Phillies retired his No. 36 retired jersey number and is on the Philadelphia Phillies Wall of Fame. It has been professionally graded by the S.G.C. Company. They have rated the card as a 3, which rates as Very Good condition. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
