Here is an original card from the 1971 Topps set of Baseball Cards. This is #100 which is of The famous Cincinnati Red, Pete Rose. Peter Edward Rose Sr. (born April 14, 1941), also known by his nickname "Charlie Hustle", is an American former professional baseball player and manager. Rose played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1963 to 1986, most prominently as a member of the Cincinnati Reds lineup known as the Big Red Machine for their dominance of the National League in the 1970s. He also played for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Montreal Expos. During and after his playing career, he served as the manager of the Reds from 1984 to 1989. He was a 17 time All-Star (1965, 1967–1971, 1973–1982, 1985) and a 3 time World Series champion (1975, 1976, 1980), NL MVP (1973), World Series MVP (1975), NL Rookie of the Year (1963). He was also a 2 time Gold Glove Award (1969, 1970), Silver Slugger Award (1981), the Roberto Clemente Award (1976), was a 3 time NL batting champion (1968, 1969, 1973). The Cincinnati Reds retired his No. 14 jersey number and is a member of the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and the Major League Baseball All-Century Team. It has been graded by the Professional Sports Authenticator, PSA. They have rated the card as a 5, which stands for Excellent Condition. Because of the black edges of these cards, they are tough to find in nice shape like this one. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
