Here is an original card from the 1989 Bowman set of Baseball Cards. This is #220 which is the rookie card of Ken Griffey, Jr. of the Seattle Mariners. Griffey was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 2016. George Kenneth Griffey Jr. (born November 21, 1969), nicknamed "Junior" and "the Kid", is an American former professional baseball outfielder who played 22 years in Major League Baseball (MLB). he played for the Seattle Mariners (1989–1999), the Cincinnati Reds (2000–2008), the Chicago White Sox (2008) and the Seattle Mariners (2009–2010). During his career, Griffey was a 13 time All-Star (1990–2000, 2004, 2007), the AL MVP (1997), a 10 time Gold Glove Award (1990–1999), 7 time Silver Slugger Award (1991, 1993, 1994, 1996–1999), the NL Comeback Player of the Year (2005). He was also a 4 time AL home run leader (1994, 1997–1999), the AL RBI leader (1997). The Seattle Mariners retired his No. 24 jersey number and he is in the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame as well as the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. He was honored as a member of the Major League Baseball All-Century Team. This is the card that is accompanied by the (1989 Game Used Patch Logo) in the upper right hand corner. It has been graded by the GGum Company. They have rated the card as a 9.5, which stands for Gem Mint Condition. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
