Here is an original card from the 1960 Topps set of Baseball Cards. This is #578 which is the card of Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1989. During his career, he was an 18 time All-Star (1963, 1965–1979, 1982, 1983) and the AL MVP (1967). He won the Triple Crown (1967) and was a 7 time Gold Glove Award (1963, 1965, 1967–1969, 1971, 1977). Yaz was a 3 time AL batting champion (1963, 1967, 1968) and was the AL home run leader (1967) and the AL RBI leader (1967). The Boston Red Sox retired his No. 8 jersey and was honored as a member of the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. What makes this card extra special is that Yaz signed the card in blue ink just above his printed name. It has been authenticated by the PSA/DNA Company. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
