Here is an original card from the 1969 Topps set of Baseball Cards. This is #597 which is the rookie card of Rollie Fingers of the Oakland A's. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1992. Fingers played for the Oakland Athletics (1968–1976), the San Diego Padres (1977–1980) and the Milwaukee Brewers (1981–1982, 1984–1985). During those seasons, he was a 7 time All-Star (1973–1976, 1978, 1981, 1982), a 3 time World Series champion (1972–1974), the AL MVP (1981) as well as the AL Cy Young Award (1981). He won the World Series MVP (1974) and was a 4 time Rolaids Relief Man Award (1977, 1978, 1980, 1981) and a 3 time MLB saves leader (1977, 1978, 1981). Rollie also pitched a combined no-hitter on September 28, 1975. The Oakland Athletics retired his No. 34 jersey number and the Milwaukee Brewers retired his No. 34 as well. He is a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame, the American Family Field Walk of Fame and the Milwaukee Brewers Wall of Honor. What makes this card special is that it is signed in in by the Hall of Famer, Rollie Fingers. This card was authenticated by the Beckett, BVG Company, and it is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
