Here is an original card from the 1969 Topps set of Basketball Cards. This is #1 which is of the card of Wilt Chamberlain of the Los Angeles Lakers. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame with the class of 1978. Chamberlain was arguably the greatest player of all time. During his career, he played in 1958–1959 for the Harlem Globetrotters, from 1959–1965 for the Philadelphia / San Francisco Warriors, in 1965–1968 for the Philadelphia 76ers, and from 1968–1973 for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was also a coach during 1973–1974 for the San Diego Conquistadors. During that time he accomplished being a 2 time NBA champion (1967, 1972), the NBA Finals MVP (1972) and was a 4 time NBA Most Valuable Player (1960, 1966–1968). Chamberlain was a 13 time NBA All-Star (1960–1969, 1971–1973) and the NBA All-Star Game MVP (1960) and was a 7 time All-NBA First Team (1960–1962, 1964, 1966–1968) and a 3 time All-NBA Second Team (1963, 1965, 1972) and a 2 time NBA All-Defensive First Team (1972, 1973). He was the NBA Rookie of the Year (1960) and was a 7 time NBA scoring champion (1960–1966) and an 11 time NBA rebounding champion (1960–1963, 1966–1969, 1971–1973) as well as being the NBA assist leader (1968). He holds the records for the Most Points in One Game (100) as well as the Most Rebounds in One Game (55). He was honored as a member of the NBA anniversary team (35th, 50th, 75th). His number No. 13 was retired by Harlem Globetrotters with his No. 13 being retired by Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers. He was also the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player (1957) and a 2 time Consensus first-team All-American (1957, 1958) and the First-team All-Big 7 (1957). His college No. 13 jersey was retired by Kansas Jayhawks and he was Mr. Basketball USA (1955). It has been graded by the SGC Company. They have rated the card as a 4, which stands for Very Good to Excellent Plus. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
