Here is an original card from the 1952 Bowman set of Baseball Cards. This is #218 which is the 2nd year card of Willie Mays of the San Francisco Giants. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1979. During his career, Mays was a 24 time All-Star (1954–1973) and was a World Series champion (1954). He won 2 NL MVP (1954, 1965) as well as the NL Rookie of the Year (1951). He earned being a 12 time Gold Glove Award (1957–1968) and the Roberto Clemente Award (1971) and was the NL batting champion (1954). Mays was a 4 time NL home run leader (1955, 1962, 1964, 1965) as well as being a 4 time NL stolen base leader (1956–1959). He hit 4 home runs in one game on April 30, 1961. The San Francisco Giants retired his No. 24 jersey as did the New York Mets. He was honored as a member of the San Francisco Giants Wall of Fame, the Major League Baseball All-Century Team and the Major League Baseball All-Time Team. It is in nice displaying condition with a good look. It has been professionally graded by the SGC Company and they rated it a 1.5, which stands for Fair Conditiond. It comes in their acid-free holder for display and preservation.
