This is a neat and affordable piece of baseball memorabilia. This is a store model baseball glove that was made by the Hutch Company. The companies would use the name of a popular baseball player to help the gloves sell. This one was made using the name of Johnny Sain. John Franklin "Johnny" Sain (September 25, 1917 – November 7, 2006) was an American right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. Sain played for the Boston Braves (1942, 1946–1951), the New York Yankees (1951–1955), the Kansas City Athletics (1955) and he also coached the Kansas City Athletics (1959), the New York Yankees (1961–1963), the Minnesota Twins (1965–1966), the Detroit Tigers (1967–1969), the Chicago White Sox (1971–1975) and the Atlanta Braves (1977, 1985–1986). During that career, Sain was a 3 time All-Star (1947, 1948, 1953), a 6 time World Series champion (1951–1953, 1961, 1962, 1968), the NL wins leader (1948) and is a member of the Braves Hall of Fame. You can tell that the owner used it but it wasn't abused. This glove is one that I bought when I was a child. It has spent the last 35 years on a wall at my parents' house. The leather has stiffened over the years but it still displays well as you can see. This is a chance at a neat glove!
