Here is an original card from the 1963 Fleer set of Baseball Cards. The 1963 Fleer Baseball set consists of 66 cards, each measuring 2-1/2" by 3-1/2". Unlike prior Fleer sets, the 1963 issue honored the day’s current players in full color (as opposed to Hall of Famers or former superstars); the remainder of the card was white, with his name, team and position appearing at the bottom border. Another noticeable difference was the set’s size, as a lawsuit filed by rival card manufacturer Topps forced Fleer to stop production at one series of 66 cards. This is #43 which is of Los Angeles Dodger star, Maury Wills. Maurice Morning Wills (October 2, 1932 – September 19, 2022) was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop from 1959 to 1972, most prominently as an integral member of the Los Angeles Dodgers teams that won three World Series titles between 1959 and 1965. He also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Montreal Expos. During his career, Wills was a 7 time All-Star (1961–1963, 1965, 1966), 3 time World Series champion (1959, 1963, 1965), NL MVP (1962), 2 time Gold Glove Award (1961, 1962), 6 time NL stolen base leader (1960–1965). It is in nice displaying condition with a good look. It has been professionally graded by the SGC Company and they rated it as a 7, which stands for Near Mint condition. It comes in their acid-free holder for display and preservation.
