Here is an original card from 1909 edition of Baseball Cards produced by the American Caramel. These were inserted into packs of candy to promote the caramel. These feature an image in the center of a player on the front with the name and team noted below their picture. This one shows Daniel Francis Murphy (August 11, 1876 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – November 22, 1955 in Jersey City, New Jersey) of the Philadelphia Athletics. During his career, Murphy was a 3 time World Series champion (1910, 1911, 1913). The card has been professionally graded by the SGC Company and they rated it as being a 1, which stands for Poor Condition. It comes in their acid free holder for display and preservation.
