1910 E-96 Philadelphia Caramel Card of New York's Rube Marquard (HOF 1971)

Here is an original card from 1910 edition of Baseball Cards produced by the Philadelphia Caramel. These were inserted into packs of candy to promote the caramel. These feature an image in the center of a player on the front with the name and team noted below their picture. This one shows Rube Marquard of the New York Giants. He was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971. Richard William "Rube" Marquard (October 9, 1886 – June 1, 1980) was an American left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball in the 1910s and early 1920s. He achieved his greatest success with the New York Giants. He was the NL wins leader (1912), the NL strikeout leader (1911) and he Pitched a no-hitter on April 15, 1915. It has lots of damage including a substantial tear to the center but is real and priced according to the condition. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
