Here is an original card from the 1962 Topps set of Baseball Cards. This is #471 which is the All-Star card of Mickey Charles Mantle (October 20, 1931 – August 13, 1995) of the New York Yankees. Mickey Mantle was one of the most famous of all baseball players. Among mis accomplishments, he was a 20 time All-Star (1952–1965, 1967, 1968). 7 time World Series champion (1951–1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962). Mantle was the 3 time AL MVP (1956, 1957, 1962), won the Triple Crown (1956) as well as the Gold Glove Award (1962) and the AL batting champion (1956). He was a 4 time AL home run leader (1955, 1956, 1958, 1960) as well as the AL RBI leader (1956). The New York Yankees retired his No. 7 and he was a Monument Park honoree and a member of the Major League Baseball All-Century Team. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame with the class of 1974. It has been graded by the SGC Company. They have rated the card as a 3, which stands for Very Good. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
